The Wrestler - 9/10 ;-D ;-D ;-D ;-D

Wow! Very moving picture. Probably Aronofsky's best, though I really liked the plot, cinematography, and frenetic pace of Pi.

Don't Mess with the Zohan

7/10

Wasn't a huge fan. It was okay and had some funny lines, but wasn't that Funny. Adam Sandler movies aren't what they used to be.

His movies haven't been good since Happy Gilmore.

Big Daddy was good and 50 First Dates wasn't too bad.

Neither of those were "his movies." I meant written or directed by Sandler, he hasn't really put anything out that was any good since Happy Gilmore. He's been in a few movies since then that I thought were good...The Wedding Singer, Big Daddy, Anger Management. And yeah 50 First Dates was OK, I even liked Punch Drunk Love which I know a lot of people didn't. But as far as films he's had his hand in as far as writing, directing, or producing...it's been pretty much poo.

What? You don't like ridiculous plots about pooping out aliens?

But in all seriousness, that movie sucked. Steven King's books simply do not translate well into the big screen. It might just be because he's a horrible writer...

I thought Misery was an excellent movie. Dreamcatcher has to be one of the worst movies I've ever seen, though.

I probably should have chosen better words. More like "most" of his books. The problem is that the genre he is known for (horror, sci-fi'ish) make bad movies, and his dramas are much much better. There are only a few of his horror movies that I would deem as better than average - The Shining and Pet Cemetery.

But look at all the good movies of his when he stepped outside the genre - Misery, The Running Man, The Green Mile, Shawshank Redemption, The Dead Zone, and Dolores Claiborne.
