Or was the Rock going strong in the WWF about the time of Sting and the NWO? Really, if it wasn't for Sting I would have never watched wrestling at all. But, I did get into it pretty hardcore my junior and senior year of high school.

Does anybody remember the name of the skinny punk kid in the late 90's? I think he had a regular name instead of a moniker and was part of Triple X's stable.

X-Pac?

He was decent for what he was at the time.
He ended up marrying Chyna and making a sex tape with her, which unfortunately I've seen :-P :-P :-P :-P :-P :-P :-P :-P :-P :-P :-P

Austin before Goldberg. Rock and Austin entered the WWE around the same time (circa 96), but Rock was known as Rocky Maivia, the kind of squeaky clean babyface gimmick Kurt Angle had when he entered the WWF that everyone wound up loathing to the point he eventually evolved into "The Rock" (circa 98 right around the time of the nWo Wolfpac angle).

Rocky Maivia, son of Chief Peter Maivia. I am going to start a nostalgic professional wrestling thread I think.

You poor thing. :-b

But yes, he was referring to X-Pac, formerly Syxx when he was in WCW/nWo.

Actually, Rock is son of Rocky Johnson. Chief Peter Maivia is Rocky Johnson's father-in-law. :-b

We once had a wrestling thread that was once part of a bigger unrelated thread, but I think it was before your time.

No not XPac that was actually the guy I was meant to say he was with. No it was like this whiter than white punk kid that was hilarious to watch get the crap beat out of him. I liked to watch him, and Golddust was pretty funny to watch as well.
