I liked it mostly due to the concept of the movie. An undiscovered, giant cave system housing a bunch of creatures evolved from humans 100's of years ago.Seems more believable than ghosts or ghouls or zombies. I agree the events and the action in the movie were not very good but for some reason, I love movies like this.

Thoroughly enjoyed The Descent as well. 9/10 in my book.

Hot Fuzz: 7/10
Very enjoyable but I didn't care for the ending.

i watched the first 1.5 hours of that on a flight from london to SF and had to shut it off because it was so incredibly bad and not funny... shaun of the dead was funny but that one was just really really bad 1/10

another totally overrated movie is No Country For Old Men. So much of the dialogue was absolutely horrible and made no sense that i could not enjoy the movie...the scene where the bad guy is talking to the gas station attendant is quite possibly one of the stupidest and most pointless scenes in any movie ever 2/10

Hard Boiled - 5/10 I made it through 3/4 of the movie and it only took 2 different sittings. It never kept my interest and was pretty corny.

Well, the plot itself isn't as nuanced as John Woo's early HK works but it's probably the best choreographed film when it comes to action shootouts. It was of course Woo's sendoff from Hong Kong to pursue filming in America (and also because he thought the Triads were on his case) and it was one fantastic one. For something deeper, I'd also recommend The Killer and A Better Tomorrow, both of which have Chow Yun-Fat (and my idol growing up for what it's worth)...and if you want something more disturbing than those, try Bullet in the Head (no CYF here).

What Happens in Vegas - 9/10

Just finished watching this with the wife and I thought it was really good. It kept my interest all the way through. Fun flick!

I don't know about 9, bro? Is you wife standing over your shoulder holding a wooden spoon? :-D

I did enjoy it though. As far as Kushton rom-coms go it was pretty good. :-B

Haha, I actually liked the ending a lot. I love when he shoots the gun in the air like Keanu Reeves from Point Break. :-b

It was a fun flick and I really have no complaints. For what it was there was nothing wrong with it, IMO.

I think the rankings are different for everyone. I ranked this movie compared to other movies like it...same genre or what have you. If I rank this compared to every movie out there then it will obviously drop but for what it was and compared to others of the same type it was quite good.
