Tropic thunder was more critically acclaimed, for whatever that's worth. I've only seen T.T. and it was great. ;-D Pineapple looks pretty stupid to me though... :-?

From the reviews I'd say TT, only seen PE, which was pretty funny though.

I caught Pineapple Express last night. I haven't laughed so much at a movie in a long time. James Franco was way better than I thought he'd be. The plot was a little dragged in places, but if you planned on catching a good plot in a pot movie, you'd be disappointed anyway...

I like curiousgeorge's 8.5/10... ;-D

PS I think it may be important to know that I was not baked during the movie, for what it's worth... X-I

The Golden Compass - not bad, the ending was mostly a setup for future movies rather than an ending. 7/10

Ghost in the Shell 2 - 7/10 - Loved the original. Philosophical, complex story about human existence in conjunction with advances in technology. I thought this one was a bit more preachy and harder to follow. Beautiful animation and artwork though. If you are an Anime fan then you have to check this out.

I've been renting movies with my game/movie pass at Blockbuster while waiting for a copy of Madden to become available (finally got it today). This summers comedy releases (on DVD) have been horrible. Are there any low budget comedies or straight to DVD that were actually decent? I try to watch every non-Romance, non-family comedy but I think I've watched all of the ones that were in the theaters and there's so much straight to DVD these days that it's hard to sift through it. Gotta be comedy though because I'm working my way through the Criterion Collection with my Netflix account and I need some light fare after watching those movies.

Drillbit Taylor: Pretty bad with a couple funny parts 4.5/10
The Onion Movie: A whole lot of awful 1/10

Considering what a massive bomb it was at the box office, I wouldn't expect a sequel anytime soon. The film cost $180 million to make and only grossed $70 million domestic. :-o
