I thought Old School was far better than Anchorman, maybe because Ferrell wasn't the main guy.

Yeah, I'm with you there. Old School is better because of Vince Vaughn IMHO.

I'm not sure a comedy exists that can be labeled as, "far better than Anchor Man." :^ You'd have to go to Mel Brooks or Monty Python and even then, I'm not sure...

To each his own of course but I think you're overrating Anchorman quite a bit. 6.9 (U.S.-only 7.1) rating on IMDB with 50K votes suggests that I'm not alone in that opinion. :-D

I agree, Old School > Anchorman, in my opinion. I'm surprised people don't like Stranger Than Fiction more, it's my 3rd favorite Ferrell movie behind Old School and Anchorman, maybe because it is the only movie he stars in that he doesn't act like a moron in.

Well that's just like, your opinion man.

I would of thrown Zoolander in there but he does not really have the lead.

and lets not forget Chazz in the Wedding Crashers.

Zoolander was better than both Old School and Anchorman, I think Anchorman was pretty good, but Old School might be the most overrated comedy in recent memory to me.

Not that it's a good Woody Allen film but check out Melinda and Melinda if you haven't seen it. He actually plays a straight role and is surprisingly good. Another unusual but good Ferrell role is in Winter Passing.
