No Country for Old Men 6/10

I JUST DON'T GET IT. The plot is moving along at an excruciatingly slow pace and for the first 30 min plus of the film(going into the movie with no background info) I have no idea what's going on. I mean the acting looks pretty good. But I just can't get over how boring and weird the plot is.

I'll be seeing The Dark Knight as soon as I can, but I've been pretty busy this week. All these great reviews and the IMDB rating, I really hope it's as good as all this hype suggests it is. WALL-E didn't end up disappointing me there.

Better than Daniel Day-Lewis in Gangs of New York?! That wasn't too long ago, and that was phenomenal, better than his role in "There Will Be Blood" in my opinion...

You should check out DDL in My Left Foot as Christy Brown, he's even better in that one.

The Dark Knight

9/10

It was a great movie for what it was, satisfied my expectations fully, Ledger's performance was great, but I wouldn't go as far as other have in this thread.

i just watched this mockumentary for the first time and i must say i was impressed by it and it lived up to its cult classic status...many hilarious moments throughout and one of the funniest ive seen in some time.

just watch my 2nd movie tonight...Taxi Driver, a movie that is considered an all time classic yet i had never seen before. I found the first 1 hr 30 min to be a bit slow, but not in a boring sense, in the sense of slowly putting the pieces of De Niro`s mind together and realizing what his real view on things are...After this you get the action you had anticipated, a great end sequence and a final scene that leaves you wondering.

8.5/10

That one was surprisingly good, wasn't it? I mean, it was really, really solid.
