I love lamp.
When in Rome.
There are so many great lines to that movie.

Everyone does know they are making Anchorman 2 correct?

The Ruins - 6.75/10 It kept me interested to see how they were going to survive and what was going to happen next....when the movie was over though you realized how dumb of a movie it really was. It was ok

Vantage Point - 6.75/10 eehh, it was ok. After about the 6th flash back of a different "vantage point" I was ready for it to just move on. Nothing to special here, just ok

ooo Vantage Point I actually was looking forward to that, but it's just not a very good movie. The movie felt so forced, action was mediorce, the storytelling wasn't very good (like you said by the last vantage point I was just like o god not again), and as far as the plot goes

SPOILERS

there being no actual shooter just the remote control, while clever, was so anticlimactic and made me even care less about the movie.

People that don't like that movie have a bad sense of humor. Brick, where'd you get a hand grenade? I don't know... Classic. :-D

By far, Steve Caroll's best role ever. I lol'd at every one of his scenes.

I'm a big fan of the serious sarcastic humor and satire so stuff like Anchorman is hilarious. It's the humor most Will Ferrell and Steve Caroll movies go for, but the jokes in Anchorman are the best of any of either of their movies I think. The 40 year old virgin is good, but I honestly didn't think it was nearly as funny and don't quite get all the accolades for it, though I did only watch it once so I may have just been in a bad mood or missed some jokes or something. :-?

I hated Vantage Point. I liked Dennis Quad's character and scenes but otherwise that movie just annoyed me to no end.

As for 40YOV, I think the reason for the accolades is because it's not only extremely funny but it manages to do that while being a real story with real characters. In other words, the plot holds up the jokes unlike most current comedy were the gags hold up the plot. I love Anchorman but it's a two-hour gimmick (a perfect storm of a gimmick but still). I don't have high hopes for an Anchorman 2. Just my $.02.

40 yo was definitely a better movie compared to Anchorman but I think Carroll was even funnier in Anchorman.

i saw it at the theatre...and fell asleep...i mean, if i'd rather sleep through a movie i paid $8.50 for what's that tell you. stupid explosions kept waking me up. worst movie i've seen in recent memory...it's like a bad episode of 24 mixed with the last 10 minutes of Clue, but not entertaining, or funny, and instead of seeing "what could have happened" we just see the same thing 10 different times...it's like the different Vantage points were literally the same damn scene just from a different camera angle. :-t :-t :-t

Se7en - 6/10

Very interesting movie. The dialogue was little weak - but Pitt and Freeman were both good. The ending brought it down for me.

POSSIBLE SPOILER ALERT

Every time I see the cliche "Hollywood" ending - I always say how I'd like to see movies do something different with the end. Se7en did that and I have to say I wasn't a fan - the ending just left we with a "the world sucks" kind of feeling. It was one of those movies were you are in a bad mood after watching it and you don't talk for 10-15 minutes.
