Not that I put too much emphasis on IMDB rankings, but has anyone here seen the rating WALL-E has recieved from members? It's literally challenging for the #1 spot.

Yeah, this was mentioned a few pages back. I suspect it will drop to 8.5 or 8.6 eventually, but maybe not...a lot of people really like this movie, myself included.

Wow. That Quantum of Solace trailer looks pretty sweet.

As far as Superbad goes, I thought it was hilarious, but I agreed they put too many of the funny parts in the trailer. Imagine the reaction in theatres if people hadn't been exposed to McLovin a bagillion times before seeing the movie.

Commenting on the Wall-E ratings/praise/hype, I really think it deserves it. This may sound ridiculous, but I wouldn't be shocked if it received an Oscar nom outside of Best Animated Feature, depending on how the rest of the year plays out.

Well that's just like, your opinion man.

Don't Mess With the Zohan 5/10

Again too many of the funny parts in the trailers and commercials.
Movie is pretty slow at times. Funny premise but bad story.

Well for Best Picture as much as people like Wall-E. It will more than likely come down to Dark Knight and Curious Case of Benjamin Button.

But Dark Knight just gives me goose bumps, I cannot wait. But for 2008 this year has not been that good for movies.

I would very much like to see Dark Knight win (based on how much I assume it will rock). However, if I had to guess this early out it would be a flick like The Changeling. Has all the makings of an Oscar. Although Curious Case as well as Pitt's other movie about the Irish boxer are probably good guesses too.

In IMDB's top 250 movies list only regular voters votes count, and it doesn't count most 0's and a lot of 10's I believe. Right now it's number 6 and rated 8.9 by regulars and 9.2 overall.

Interesting, but who are regular voters?

Batman Begins didn't get any Oscar consideration (even though I definitely thought it deserved some in that weak year), so I doubt The Dark Knight will get any either.
