I think his problem is that he's always tried to relive the success of The Sixth Sense by putting major plot twists in all of his movies. Unbreakable was just an all around bad movie but Signs and The Village were at least decent until he tried to force plot twists into both of them.

I liked Unbreakable. The one that really pissed me off was Lady in the Water. Wasn't too fond of The Village either.

The Village was a joke if you ask me. I saw it in theaters, waste of money, I laughed the whole movie pretty much.

I liked Unbreakable as well as Signs. The Village was pretty stupid and Lady in the Water was a complete joke.

Humph. I liked Unbreakable, The Village, Lady in The Water but signs...not so much. I guess he's the type of director that will get responses all over the board.

On that note, I liked Unbreakable, Signs, and Lady in the Water. I didn't care as much for The Sixth Sense and I really didn't like The Village.

I usually like M. Night movies until the end and I literally find myself yelling at the screen "That's so stupid" or "Gimme a break". IMO he should stick to directing and give up writing. Take over Transformers 2.

Just saw Shrek 3. It sucked, and now I read they are making two more of these. Hopefully they are more like the first two, as opposed to this abomination.

SPOILER ALERT (sorta)

There is no twist ending in The Happening.

Lars and the Real Girl Meh...Ryan Gosling is a withdrawn 27ish guy who lives in his brothers garage, apparently from the shame of finishing 2nd in a David Arquette lookalike contest, gets one of those lifelike Sexytime Dolls and pretends it's his real girlfriend, as does the rest of the town to help him cope with his crazy

i was expecting it to be better, but once you get past the initail shock/humor of him parading around his Sexytime Doll it was a bit boring for me. some good acting and interesting premise, but boring is boring
