Just got back from The Good Shepherd. Not a bad movie, fairly interesting. I usually like most of Damon's work but I wasn't real impressed with him in this movie. Drags out in a few places and the romance / family strife of the movie just didn't carry out very well. 6/10.

We watched The Black Dahlia last night. My wife liked it because she's into the murder mystery thing. I didn't care for it. She'd probably rate it a 7 or so, but I'd go closer to 3 or 4.

Yikes. I thought it was perhaps the crappiest movie ever. My favorite review for Little Nicky was in the Charlotte Observer:

It will settle forever theological discussions about whether Hell is a physical entity. It is, and I inhabited it for 90 minutes Tuesday.

I thought Spider Man 2 looked bad, so I never saw it. SM3 looks good, so I caught SM2 on television tonight.

-1/10 (to make up for AA's 11)

Utter cheese. Terrible acting. Overused CGI (see: Matrix sequels). Awful screenplay.

I'm seriously rethinking seeing SM3. The Green Lantern had a split personality and Aunt May's in trouble? Dr. Octopus has a split personaity and Aunt May's in trouble? Spider Man's about to have a split personality and... let me guess.

*gasp* I didn't see it coming! :-t

I disagree. I think the first was definitely better than the 2nd. Horrible acting all around, though, especially from the 2 characters. I'll watch with the kid, because he gets a kick out of the action scenes and I do appreciate the "With great power comes great responsibility", but I won't watch them under any other circumstances.

I watched Miami Vice on DVD last night and it was pretty good. Lots of action/violence, and a pretty interesting story. I thought Colin Farell sucked though- I'm not really a fan of him. Good movie overall.
