I caught Cool Runnings in the wee hours of the morning on TBS.

John Candy was the man. ;-D

Die Hard 4.0

6/10

I was going to give it a 7 until I saw that ridiculous F-35 seen.

Yeah seriously... would they open fire like that in the streets? Also, the pilot can't shoot down a big rig truck moving at 55 mph tops?

***I'm going to mark this as possible spoilers for Deja Vu, simply because I want to be as respectful as possible, although I don't think I spoiled anything***

Another Deja Vu watcher, and another dissappointed viewer. The movie was just so out there and unbelievable I couldn't watch it all, it's like layer after layer of just unbelievable technology. First they introduce this whole heat based camera thing, then well, I don't want to spoil it so, the they lay out the surprise which had me rolling my eyes, then to top it off just as I'm done scoffing at the surprise, they ridiculous chase scene occurs.

The Last Mimsy - 7/10

Wow, that was kinda creepy, spooky? I'm not even really sure why, maybe because I was imagining my kids in these kids' shoes? We got the movie as a family movie but didn't get home until it was my kids' bedtime so me and my wife watched it last night and it was something else! Not even sure I want my kids watching it because I know they would probably have bad dreams.... :-°

I watched Snatch again for the 100th time and I still give it 10/10. One of my favorite movies.

Borat - 7/10. I would probably have rated it higher had I seen it in theaters. But instead I watched in on DVD in my room and by myself. I thought it was pretty good but seeing other peoples reactions probably would have made it that much better.

Mean Girls - 6.5/10. My girlfriend had me watch this one. All I knew going into it was that Tina Fey wrote it. It was actually pretty funny at times. There were some pretty ridiculous and completely over the top scenes where everyone essentially turned into animals, but other than that it wasn't too horrible.

Transformers-7/10 Kind of your typical summer flick. Cool cinematography and special effects, some bad acting with good looking women. It has its problems but it is enjoyable

I watched Pan's Labyrinth last night and really enjoyed it. It was an entertaining fantasy movie. (Beware, it has subtitles.) 7/10

One of my old favorites Ed Wood was on TV yesterday as well. It's one of the best Johnny Depp movies and, probably, my favorite Tim Burton movie. 8.5/10

The In Flight movies to and from England last week...

Premonition - 4.5/10.....Predictable, terrible dialogue....a "What?" ending.

The Land of Women - 6.5/10.....Having lost my grandmother recently to cancer, this one had me near tears through most of the second half. Solid, but not great.

Blades of Glory - 6/10.....The first 10 minutes carry this one up to a 6 from potentially much worse. A severe lack of jokes through much of the middle 2/4 of the movie. Cliche. Without Will Ferrell, this one would have bombed. Some bad characters, some annoying characters, some bad AND annoying characters.
