So I am transferring schools for next fall and am getting a new IBM laptop to replace my current desktop. I was wondering how I can transfer all my ITunes songs?
I heard about CopyPod but I believe that unless you buy the full version you can only transfer like 50 songs and I have around 1,500.
I also heard you need to save the songs as ata files and burn them onto discs. I have absolutely no idea how to do that, have no idea how to convert them back, and would need a beyond-dummy guide (also afraid of losing my songs).
My second question is this: I heard that there is some converter that exists that will let you convert DVDs onto your Ipod (I have seen this done with my own eyes so I know it's possible). Now, I understand that it would take a ton of memmory, but if I have a 20GB or an 80GB transferring an episode of Seinfeld from my Seinfeld season DVDs shouldn't be that hard. Anyone know anything about this?
Thanks for the help.
Sean Tracey has my apologies, we all know Ozzie Guillen is an idiot. I'm rooting for you!

I have this program and usb cable which can transfer files between computers very quickly. I think I bought it at Best Buy or Comp USA...
Just go to a compter store and tell them you want something like this and i am sure they can get it for you.

I once lost all my songs on my computer, but they were still on my ipod. I just copied the folder with all the music in it to the computer. The songs were organized into subfolders named things like F1, F2, F3...and so on, and the song were organized in no particular manner, but all of them were there, and if you tell itunes to search the folder containing the little folders all your music will be there, organized the way it was in itunes.

There are definitely free programs online that will copy songs from iPods to computers.
