Johann Santana's agent hasn't been heard from all day

Postby Y`s Guy » Thu Dec 07, 2006 10:44 pm

It was February 2006 when Santana signed for $39.75 million over 4 years. A sweet 9.94M/season.
;-D

After hearing about Gil Meche Johann's calls have not been answered by his agent.

Santana should pull a sheff and hold out for a new deal.

He might get 18 million per season or 20 seeing as though Meche got 11 (and what has he proven?)

I dont think it looks so bad when you realize he is still eligible for arbitration. After 2008 look out.

I think Johan will get by on the $40 mil until he hits FA, when he can then ask for 1 bazillion dollars!!!!!!!! Johan signed the deal so play. I mean is Johan were to get hurt or pitch poorlt its not as if he will give the money back.

Wow. Ted Lilly is making more than Johan. Something is seriously wrong here.

I've got to tell you, I like Halladay's extension signed earlier this March for 40M over 3 years over anybody's. He took a definite hometown discount to stay with the team until 2010, and I'm sure he knew it. Thanks, Doc. ;-D
