Mel Gibson might be a little crazy but this looks pretty good.

Probably a rental for me... I don't go to the movies anymore since it is so damn expensive. I'd rather wait a few months and watch it on my own big screen.

i'll still go occasionally, either to see some blockbuster that should be seen on the big screen (king kong, X-men, etc) or becasue i want some movie popcorn with butter-like flavoring

they look pretty good on an HD TV too. :-D

apocalypto looks interesting but i am mostly a netflix person.

It does look like a good movie but it has that Tom Cruise effect now where you don't want to see any movie associated with the guy. The difference is that Cruise is an actor and it's hard to keep the leading man out of the commercials. Why are they marketing it as "Mel Gibson's Apocalypto" and having Mel appear in the commercials? Are they targetting to the anti-semite audience?

You'd think it would sell better if it wasn't Mel Gibsons Apocolyptico

thats what i was wondering. it seems right now it would be smarter to just market it as apocalypto. i'm guessing since there arent any known stars in the movie they decided to give some face time to mel and hope for the best.

I think he's marketing it as his movie in the hopes that it does well and starts to fix some of the stuff associated with his name now.

As for the OP, I do want to see it at the theaters.
