Anybody seen the movie "Frequency" with Dennis Quaid. It's not really about baseball, but the Mets play a big part in figuring out the timeline. This is an excellent film.
i thought the rookie was great. if you like for love of the game, id say the rookie follows that same kind of sentimental value, so id watch the rookie if i were you. little big league is great, but please please please dont say fielde of dreams is bad. say you dont like it, but dont deface one of THE classic baseball movies.
Oh, yes, I forgot about The Rookie, and I even own it. Ken Burns's "Baseball" is great too. When I can save up enough money I'm going to buy it on DVD, even though I already have it on VHS. I watch the whole thing about once a year.
From the official rulebook of baseball: "Baseball is a game played between two teams of nine players each." Therefore, baseball is a game played only in the National League.
oh ya, Frequency, i forgot about that movie. probably because it has pretty much nothing to do with baseball, except the mets. but it was a good movie, if you havnt seen it, see it.
I am with mkoss and vote for "For Love of the Game"...
oh man, I just cant forgte this scene at Yankee stadium when Costner stood on the mound, top of the 9th and his perfect game still going on... and in the background you hear the narrator..."...stnding there, at the lonliest spot of the earth, the pitching mound of Yankee stadium..."
GREAT!
