Any Rumors?

Are the Pirites going to try and surround Bay with some hitters in the Line up? At least some guys with 20-25 HR potential.

That's a shame because Bay can be sooo much better if he had some support around him.

There is supposed to be a M-Gon for LaRoche deal in the works.

It died because Littlefield putzed around too long. This was the perfect deal for the team, and once again he showed his incompetence. The man should not have a job right now. :-t

I guarantee you the Pirates will sign Trot Nixon. I'll guarantee it to you in blood if you'd really like me to.

Will he help the team? Nope! He's Jeromy Burnitz with even fewer HR's. No to Trot Nixon, please! :-t

When they lost out on getting LaRoche, they blew their chance to have a team I could had any confidence in even sniffing a .500 record. Any chaff players they get from this point on is just this year's rendition of signing Casey/Randa/Burnitz. I would rather them not spend any money and play all the young guys at this point.

I'd easily take Nixon over Burntiz. Nixon is younger with less K's and more walks. Problem is he can't hit LHP.
