Good for your heatlh I'm sure but will prices go up in the city even more now?

And what about the poor citizens who can't afford higher prices.

Anyways I dislike NYC but think this could be a good thing.

True its not like there is a "Second hand Trans Fat"

But still alot of people don't know they are eating it. maybee they should have to put a label on it saying there is Trans Fat.

or maybee there are too many people in the world and we should let natural selection work

I'm all for it. I love me some french fries, but I don't want the trans fats in them. If they can make them just fine without them go for it. Some places were already starting to make the change any way. I'm pretty sure Wendy's announced earlier this year they were doing away with trans fats. All it does is increase the life of their cooking oil. Given that vegetable isn't horribly expensive, it shouldn't affect price that much, especially if some restaurants are willing to make the change without being told to buy a law.

I pretty much check the labels on foods in the grocery store now. If one has trans fats in it, I'll take the one that doesn't. Like taco shells for example. Old El Paso has trans fats in them, while Ortega does not, therefore I'll buy Ortega.

They were talking on the radio about how this is going to cause big problems for NYC's huge volume of Chinese restaurants. Those egg rolls are trans fat-o-rama. KFC and Taco Bell are equally frustrated, but they're large enough to find alternatives. McDonalds already had "oil blends" free of trans fat ready to go just in case.

i'll never understand why so many people feel the need and absolute purpose to do anything but mind their own business.
