I'm all for it. I love me some french fries, but I don't want the trans fats in them. If they can make them just fine without them go for it. Some places were already starting to make the change any way. I'm pretty sure Wendy's announced earlier this year they were doing away with trans fats. All it does is increase the life of their cooking oil. Given that vegetable isn't horribly expensive, it shouldn't affect price that much, especially if some restaurants are willing to make the change without being told to buy a law.
I pretty much check the labels on foods in the grocery store now. If one has trans fats in it, I'll take the one that doesn't. Like taco shells for example. Old El Paso has trans fats in them, while Ortega does not, therefore I'll buy Ortega.
