Chris Nelson SS Rockies?

Postby james2266 » Sat Dec 02, 2006 8:37 pm

This was one highly touted dude a year or so ago. What's the word on this guy these days? Worth taking a shot in a really deep fantasy minor league pool. 15 rounds 26 teams but we can carry 30 minors actually. Getting toward the nothing left but this guy is available and it is my turn to pick here. Anyone have an inside on this guy?

Well, I doubt his future is with the Rockies with Tuly there for years to come.

Tejada? Jeter? Rollins?

I mean if you want to talk about prospects: Drew?
Are you interested in joining a 28 teams dynasty league? If so, PM me.

You might want to look at last years draft and grab some of the late round guys that have high upside (Lars Anderson?) or low minor pitchers who have live arms and might devolp into something useful. I don't see Nelson being much more than a Utility player any time soon.
"I do not think baseball of today is any better than it was 30 years ago... I still think Radbourne is the greatest of the pitchers." John Sullivan 1914-Old athletes never change.
