I don't think I've actually seen a music video in a good five years, but every now and again I pull out an old mix VHS of MTV's glory days in the early '90s (with a healthy dose of 120 minutes). It's a shame Music Television plays no music...but then, when they do play music, it's craptacular anyway. So maybe it's for the best.
Who are some of the bands they play on the Tube?
Let's just say it takes MTV's "glory days" and bottles it for your enjoyment. As I'm typing this, the Gin Blossoms "Hey Jealousy" is on The Tube.
What's great is it plays new stuff, old stuff and live concerts in a nice mix. It's doesn't really play anything obscure, but it doesn't play anything too mainstream either. I mean it doesn't play country, rap, R&B, or bubble gum pop... there's plenty of that. It's pretty much everything else.
As "Hey Jealousy" ended, a live Eric Clapton (recent) song just came on.
