Travis Buck will be in the OAK outfield in 2007. Absolutely nobody blocking him and he is basically ready if healthy.

I disagree. They have Swisher, Kotsay, Bradley and Kielty and more than likely plan on finding a replacement for Payton. Not sure where you got this idea. Do you have a link to a source?

Gomez should be a Met by 2008. Mid 2008 the latest. He might start 2007 in AAA after his insane second half.

Then disagree... This was my opinion and I am sticking to it. Swisher still could play 1B. Johnson is not a lock there. Kielty is a 4th OF at best or a platoon player. Expect one of Bradley or Kotsay to be injured or to miss considerable time (like always). It's a long season and I did not say Buck would start in the OF out of spring training- I said he would make it to the bigs in 2007. That's hardly a stretch the way BB moved his best prospects. Buck's bat is ready.

I don't think that Swisher will play just 1B ever. If Johnson does not work out as planned they have Barton waiting in the wings. Because it is almost certain they will bring in a fifth outfielder I think its safe to say Buck won't get a very lengthy look this year. Buck still hasn't even played at Triple A yet. I think its safe to say Billy has planned on him playing there for the majority of this season.

the best prospects on small market or needy teams almost never play in AAA. Nick Markakis and Matt Garza are good examples. Gordon and Wood will be others next year. Billy Beane is not shy about playing his kids- especially his prize draftees. BTW. Buck is now listed as Oakland's #1 prospect ahead of Barton. I think it's safe to say that Buck has a chance to be an integral part of that offense very soon. They are hurting for offense...

I think its safe to say Billy has planned on him playing there for the majority of this season.

Brandon Wood will not play in the big league next year until Sept if at all. Since when were the Angels considered small market?

Also just because Buck is ahead of Barton in the prospects rankings doesn't mean they will rush him up there. First base is a position they may have more of a need at anyway. Because the probably will have five OFers I think its safe to say he won't get a call very early. I realize Beane does rush his guys sometimes if need be, but I don't see any reason to believe Buck will be a big time cog just yet. No question in my mind that he will be in '08 though.
