Assuming for the sake of argument that there is no way to reach a compramise, and the courts will not order the father to financially support, then the obvious correct answer is: The mother should negotiate with the family, get them to give her an additional $50,000 in the buy-out, then use that money to hire a hit-man to kill all three. She would then get the child back, and the child would most likely be heir to a large sum of money.

And being young enough, the child would remember none of that... Brilliant!

I hate my 2nd period class and I made them answer this for a punishment essay.

And, in my scenerio, the rich and powerful family has so much power that they are able to pay off any judges and the woman can't get 5 bucks from them - much less 50,000.

I'm so glad I never had you for a teacher... and I had three pregnant teachers over the course of my years in school.

I'll stick with my idea, only she kills them herself, so the $50,000 isn't necessary.

I'm guessing he's about to tell you that they have a huge security detachment and a state-of-the-art security system. Oh, and dogs. Lots of them.

If they have the power and money to buy judges in order to prevent having to continue to financially support the child, why can't they have those same bought judges change their custody ruling?

This makes a lot of sense... :-?

If the father's family were diabolical freaks, as all rich people are of course, then the mother should run like hell with her kid and protect him. Or possibly choose to be an adult and get along with her husband so the child could grow up without trauma. But that's just crazy talk......
