I do believe he was the MOST influential rock guitarist in terms of widespread influence.

He did things that nobody had ever done before him.

Clapton is a great guitarist but I can play alot of Clapton songs almost dead on. Which is not the case with hendrix.

I'm going to listen to the Live at the Fillmore East box set. It's basically two discs of his live stuff with Band of Gypsys.
