I'm partial to David Gilmour myself, but rock on Jimi!
Being left handed, Hendricks played a right handed Stratocaster... upside down. He was completely self-taught. I think that's so awesome.
Gilmour is easily my favorite, just listen to the song Sorrow- really brings the guitar to life. Not taking anything away from Jimi and Clapton-both are legends.

I actually prefer Gilmour over Hendrix too.
And, yes, ABS, I believe AV was suggesting that Slowhand is a greater guitarist than Jimi was. I would agree.

Good point, definitely one of the greatest.
Agreed..
I do believe he was the MOST influential rock guitarist in terms of widespread influence.
He did things that nobody had ever done before him.
Clapton is a great guitarist but I can play alot of Clapton songs almost dead on. Which is not the case with hendrix.
