Anyone here paintball? I used to, but that was a long time ago and I believe my gear is probably outdated.
I'd like to get back into it, but I'm curious to know what brands to look for and what to avoid. Any paintball experts out there with some pointers and advice?
Surprisingly, I've never gone. One of my friends, his coach owns a paint balling place near us. It looks pretty painful, and I'm not very good at that kind of stuff. I think I'll stick with hockey.
P.S. I suggest you don't try to get back into it, you don't want to pull your groin or anything.. j/k
Seems like an expensive hobby for one that I know I wouldn't stick with. Some guys at work want to go, but I think i'm going to pass. It looks like fun though I guess.
If you're a battery, you're either working or you're dead....
i've played a decent number of times and i love it. haven't played in about 5 years, but i definitely want to again. one thing is that i only like playing outdoors. played indoors once and it was possibly the dumbest thing ever. woods and urban courses are far superioir IMO b/c for me its all about the environment. i hate watching the ESPN crap where there's just a bunch of inflatable barriers. everyone having semi-autos also makes it much more fun.

We own quite a few acres of woodland so that is where we'll be paintballing. I've talked to people who have gone to the 'courses' and you've echoed their sentiment. I much prefer the outdoors anyway.
