2004 - .275 .350 .461 .811
2005 - .255 .320 .436 .756
2006 - .313 .371 .495 .866 = $50,000,000
2007 - .252 .323 .419 .742
2008 - .236 .313 .354 .667
What is funny is that not a single person in this thread endorsed the deal at the time. FBC is smarter than MLB GMs. It's true.

Yea seriously when are we getting those jobs!!
I'm too lazy to make a sig at the moment

You are in a bumping mood today.

Has Rivera taken over the full time gig?
I'd say yes.
Jul 11 The Orange County Register reports Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim OF Gary Matthews Jr. was on the bench in favor of OF Juan Rivera Thursday, July 10, for the second consecutive game. "I don't know if any player ever agrees with taking unwanted days off," Matthews said. "I do know my numbers should be better than they are." KFFL
Jul 10 OF Gary Matthews Jr. is in the midst of another prolonged downturn, and manager Mike Scioscia is finally turning to other options. Scioscia and hitting coach Mickey Hatcher met with Matthews before Wednesday's game in Texas and then Scioscia benched Matthews in favor of Juan Rivera. Matthews has batted .191 (13-for-68) in his past 22 games, dragging his average for the season down to .236. Scioscia said Rivera would also play on Thursday but he would not say how long Matthews will remain on the bench. Yahoosports
