1 S Reyes
2 S Beltran
3 R Alou
4 L Delgado
5 R Wright
6 L Green / R Lo Duca
7 R Lo Duca / L Green
8 S Valentin / R Easley (I'm assuming they platoon)
This is how I would do it. Agree? Disagree?
Maine has a good swing for a pitcher but on anything that moves, he has no chance. And if it's a fastball, it has to be up in the zone. Basically, the pitcher has to hit his bat. - Mike Pelfrey
Yes I have always felt this way about Lo Duca. Love him but he's not a #2 hitter. Listening to the announcers talk about how he is the perfect #2 is like a nails on a chalkboard to me.

I think you nailed it ... and as a Braves fan that's a scarey lineup!
Thank you!

It is but I think there will be three scary lineups in the East next season.

This one is a lot tougher without knowing who they are targeting and without knowing if Glavine is going to go back to Atlanta to finish out his career.
Without assuming any FA I guess this is the way it is shaping up:
O. Hernandez
J. Maine
O. Perez
M. Pelfrey
Long shots: Pedro, V. Zambrano, Bannister, Soler, D. Williams, Vargas

I think you got it right considering Alou kills LHP and putting him in between Beltran and Delgado makes the opposing manager have to burn through the bullpen or let one of them face a RHP.

That's scary in a different way than the lineup...
