I about lost it when he says "all right, you take the monkey's side."
Depending on who you are this either takes the situation/incident out of proportion, or makes light of the situation. Either way, I don't see the benefit of the 'movie', no matter how funny it was intended to be.

It doesn't matter if it affects people differently, both are used in the exact same way.
As far as I'm concerned, a black person calling a white person a cracker is absolutely no different than a white person calling a black person a nigger. The intent behind the words is identical, to insult and offend.
i completely disagree...i see exactly what you're saying and if you completely take it out of context, then sure it would work like that...but everyone knows the history behind the word nigger and knows that its going to get a much bigger reaction then just saying cracker or honky...im not saying using cracker or honky is ok, by no means do i mean that, but it doesnt offend me in the least...
Whether honky or cracker offends you, or anyone else, is completely moot.
Every racial slur is equal in my eyes. They are intended to offend, whether they succeed or not is meaningless.
Hate crimes carry stiffer penalties because they are prejudicially motivated. Words like nigger, honky, wetback, gook, fairy, and whatever else you can think of are just a different branch on the same tree.

I don't expect a four-minute clip on the internet to have any "benefit" beyond making me chuckle, which this did. I'm sure not everyone will appreciate it, but that's enough benefit for me.
If enjoying that video makes me racist then I'm moving to canada. whatever that means.
that was a funny video and wrong in every sense...I wonder what a comedian would say about Kramers outburst. I can see Chapelle makeing fun of it in a playfull way.
