I've heard a few Tenacious D songs; Tribute, !@#$ Her Gently, and a handful of others. The music isn't bad at all, it's the movie part that doesn't do it for me so I'm up in the air about Jack Black in a Tenacious D movie. The Kyle guy seems pretty hilarious.

I caught Saving Silverman on Comedy Central once; not a big fan. And wasn't Orange County just Jack Black running around in his underwear in the few scenes were Tom Hanks' son wasn't desperately trying to learn how to act?

See, I'm harsh.

PS- He wasn't bad in King Kong because he wasn't annoying; but I still wish he got eaten.

I bought the Pick of Destiny CD but from my first impression it doesn't really sound as good as the first CD. It seems to have more of a generic sound but maybe I havent listened to it enough. I still plan to see the movie but I'm not expecting anything unreasonable.

Anyway Kielbasa and Double Team are good songs from the first CD. The Road and Dio are two of the lesser-known songs that I think are really good too but Tenacious D is definitely not for everyone.

Saw this flick the other day, pretty good. Lots of profanity in the songs which is amusing (in a childish way) and the story line just about holds up as much as it needs to do to be an adequant vehicle for the musical and character driven jokes throughout.

I'd reccomend it I suppose, but it's not great.
