Who are your top without including the likes of Billy Butler, Alex Gordon,Sweeney. both Millers ( Pitchers ) and Josh Fields.
Those guys are all taken in my 12 team AL only. I have 3 of the top ten picks .Lokking for players that will help possibly in 2007 but more like 2008-2009.And will come in with a splash.

Interesting list and I can't really object to any placings. Just a follow up 2 questions: (1) Where wouldd you place McCutchen, Dukes and Hurley? and (2) Do you really expect Tabata to be in MLB by 2008? I was anticipating a 2009-10 arrival.

I would put McCutchen between Longoria and Adenhart. He could be higher depending on criteria for evaluation. For fantasy purposes I wouldn't upgrade him because of the team he plays on but as a pure prospect I'd move him up.

I think Tabata will be up in 2009. I think he'll have a good season this year starting in A+ but he'll touch AA.

Great start. But these guys are also taken. Young I already have and had to be activated last year because our league rule say any player that comes up before Sept. 1st and stays up two weeks or more has to be activated.I hate that rule.
Others already taken are Hughes, Wood and Maybin. I have him as well.I have both Gordon and Maybin. I have three picks in the top 10 this year.

You need to list the players that unavailable, as that's the only way others will know.

My revised top 10:

- D. Matsuzaka (if eligible)
- R. Brignac
- E. Longoria
- J. Tabata
- T. Snider (if you dont mind waiting)
- B. Rowell (ditto)
- D. Pedroia (not the upside of the others, but he'll help you immed'ly)
- J. Ellsbury
- T. Crowe
- A. Iwamura (if eligible - he's a little risky, but I think he'll be OK and he'll help you immed'ly)

As you can tell, I like hitters as prospects better than hitters. I fhte 2 Japanese players arent eligible, my next 2 are Adenhart and Jo. Guzman (the talent is still there, if he can put it together).

As you guys have posted names I remember who is taken without having the list in front of me. I may have missed one or two.

Pedroia taken
Adam Jones taken could be back in pool
Garza taken could go back in pool
Barton taken
D Young taken I have him
Adam Miller taken
Andrew Miller taken could go back in pool
Lind taken could go back in pool
B Wood taken
Maybin taken I have him
Gordon taken I have him
Aybar taken
Kendricks taken
Hughes taken I might be able to make a trade to get him
Butler taken Owner won't trade him
Josh Fields taken
Dar. Barton taken

I have three of the top 10 picks this year.I also have Gordon and Maybin . We can keep a total of five. I am trying to make a trade to get another pick as a back up plan in case Gordon starts in the majors this spring. We can only keep 10 players on our active roster not counting the picks and minors. I was planning on offering two or three players I would not keep for another pick. If Gordon sticks I have another pick to replace him. If not I either throw back the pick or trade it. I wouldn'r keep the players it would take to get the pick anyway.
Does this help clear things up?
Longoria or Brignac as a first pick? As I said they can be a year or two away. Even three. As long as they are solid big splash players in the AL only.
