I agree. I would try wainwright over Looper in the rotation, Looper in the Rotation seems bad to me
It's not either Wainwright or Looper as starting pitcher. It's both!
The Cardinals rotation pretty much looks like a joke right now, maybe they'll find another weaver...
I wouldn't call any rotation a joke being an apparent Cubs fan.

I personally think that Paul Byrd and/or Jon Lieber could be members of the St. Louis rotation this season.
Carpenter
Lieber
Byrd
Wells
Reyes/Mulder
Mulder is out till mid-season and Reyes was ineffective last year. This would move Wainwright to the pen.

I think Reyes will be in the rotation that guy can pitch, just had a rough go of it last year
It's not the worst rotation in MLB but there are some serious concerns. I'll give you that Carp is a stud but it seems risky to count on two sophmores to fill the 2-3 spots in the rotation. I think they will both have good careers but asking them to have good season right now might be too much. If Mulder is really still an option that will help things out - Looper is not a good idea.
The Cardinals always seem to be able to salvage their rotation. As long as they have Carp at the top of that rotation and two of the other four have decent seasons, they'll salvage at least 85-90 wins. If Reyes or Wainwright has a breakout year, they'll win even more. If I was a Cardinals fan, I wouldn't worry too much.

With the Rays considering using him as a utilityman, B.J. Upton is set to see work at second base, third base, shortstop and the outfield this spring. "I would like to take the pressure off his defense somewhat. Everything has been about his defense," manager Joe Maddon said. "During the last couple of years, it's been all about being the shortstop of the future, and then you throw him over to third base and it's about becoming the third baseman of the future. You know what? Let's come be a major league baseball player, hit, and we'll figure out the best spot for you." If he does hit, the team will have to find a regular spot for him somewhere. He could post the best OBP of anyone on the roster.
If BJ gets hot and steals the bases like he is capable he could be a big asset to any fantasy team this year. If he is bounced around a little and gets eligibility almost everywhere - are we looking at the new Figgins?

I don't know how they can keep him out of the lineup personally, the guy has better talent then some of the guys playing. I would love to see him at 3rd and Aki at 2B. I think you will see Aki at 2B and BJ at 3B when cantu is off, also try BJ at 2B, or BJ at 3B when Aki is off and also play the OF when Rocco has the day off, so that they can showcase his ability to play OF so they can work a trade. I think by the end of the year he will be 3B, 2B, OF eligible in Yahoo
