The Rockies gave Jeff Francis a new contract, a four year deal with an option for a 5th year.

Pitcher Jeff Francis has reached agreement on a four-year, $13.25 million contract with the Colorado Rockies, a source told ESPN.com. The contract includes a fifth-year club option that could bring the total value of the deal to more than $20 million.

Added JJ's option that was picked up earlier this offseason. (forgot about it)

Edit: Just saw that my signature is too long, so there won't be room for the whole offseason (assuming the Rockies make more than the three signifigant moves they've made already. So I'll just update this thread.

Too bad they lied to the fans again and we aren't going to pick up anyone this offseason.

Trade jennings for something.

I don't think they ever said they'd pick anyone signifigant up this offseason, especially with the money available and obviously the contracts going out of control.

-------------------------------

Updated with a few additional signings, also BK's option I forgot that happened at the beginning of the offseason.

My thoughts on each recent signing:

Gil - purely for depth
Rivera - called by Dan O'Dowd and others the best pitcher in the Mexican League, has a chance to win 5th starter's spot in Spring Training
Hawkins - very good signing, cheap for the current market, good setup man for Fuentes

Well they didn't technically lie, we're up above $50 million now! *sarcasm*

Oh well, I don't tend to expect much from this current management anyways.
