What does this Louisville loss mean for the National Championship? Who will play the winner of the Ohio State/Michigan game?

Florida or Texas most likely. If Florida wins out it'll be them, if they lose and Texas wins out it'll be the Longhorns.

Depending if Florida and/or Texas run the table and win their conference title games, I think both teams have an inside track on the BCS title. There has been talk that even the loser of OSU/Michigan could be granted a rematch if Ohio State and Michigan play a close ballgame.

1) Great win for Rutgers. ;-D

2) Florida/Texas have to have the inside track if they win out. USC and Cal both have a shot though if you ask me. I'm pulling for Cal or Rutgers (man that would be sweet). ;-D

The problem is that Michigan is the only team capable of giving OSU a close game. :-°

I lost big $$ but I am happy for RU.

As a Notre Dame fan growing up, the sentimental pick for me would be to see the Irish in the title game, but I don't see a win over USC convincing the pollsters just because the Trojans aren't as strong as originally perceived despite the top talent they feature. Besides, ND's only notable win came against Georgia Tech, had to come from behind against lowly Michigan State, narrowly beat dreadful UCLA on the final drive of the game, and got throttled by Michigan.

I think Cal deserves a BCS spot even as an at-large while it would be awesome to see Rutgers in a BCS bowl. The earth is flat after all.

Argh, when is the old alma mater, Loyola Marymount going to have a football team again? :-P
