haha looks interesting - I'll watch it when I have a bit of free time.
I tried putting together an intramural flag football team this fall and we had an "interesting season."
We lost the first game 21-18, mostly because we didn't know how to rip the flags off properly. We won the 2nd game, but the 3rd game was interesting...right before the half, the other team tries a hail mary and their guy DROPS the ball in the endzone (he slid and had it caught, but it definitely slipped out before one can say he had posession), and they call it a TD! I told the ref he had a good sense of humor, but apparently he was serious.
A few plays before, we tried the "Jets pass/reverse/hook and ladder play" on 4th and long...it worked, but the refs said our guy was flag-guarding after he was in midair b/c he was SHOVED into the endzone. WTF? The same ref and I had a little discussion over that issue as well.
The other team's QB made fun of us as well after the play. B/c of that, I, as the role of Captain, told my over-aggressive MLB he is allowed to tackle the QB. So after their QB gets popped, our MLB (who also happens to be our Randy Moss at WR) gets the gate (we only had 7 guys and teams have 7 on the fieldat once, so now we only have 6 guys). As the game wears to its end, we see we're gonna lose, the score is 23-20 and they have the ball with 2 seconds left. Their QB goes to toss the hail mary and try to increase their score, and the fast guy we have (he plays soccer too) flips him over with a slide tackle.
Nevertheless:
1.) They still scored
2.) Our fast guy got tossed too. So if we had played our final game (we laughed and forefited, b/c we only had 5 players who could make it), we'd have two players suspended.
3.) We were the first team in BU intramural sports to earn a "0/4" sportsmanship rating (most teams get a 4/4). I also received a call from the league commish about my team's conduct on the field. In addition to our two guys getting tossed, one of our other players got a warning for a less severe tackle, and I got one cuz I was taunting the other team a little after their DB shoved my shoulder when I was in the air and got called for PI (I was doing the thing NFL receivers do when they signal for the PI flag, and then celebrated when they threw it).
The leagu is a p*ssy league cuz of their dumb rules, but it was fun.

Nice story there, DaQ. Not as epic as the saga with your roommate.
Yeah, the episodes are a bit too long and so, taking a half-hour from your work watching this isn't advised, but hey, part of my job is watching viral videos.

In a word, yes.
A part of the job is looking for good videos and getting the creators of those videos to try Revver out through guerrilla marketing tactics. I have say in what videos should be featured on our site and which ones we should aggressively promote/market and run with that momentum. We're not necessarily searching for the next Diet Coke and Mentos, but looking for creators who can consistently post excellent material with a longer life cycle than a Diet Coke and Mentos, which is more of a catalyst if anything to drive web traffic and brand awareness. So, a webisode series (especially one with potential that has yet to go viral) is a more favorable target than a Diet Coke & Mentos, even though going off the latter is also a priority for us.

Well, we can only consider pursuing a video if indeed the fella that posted is the creator and he has to have clearance for any possible copyrighted material he's incorporated in his video (after all, he's uploading to Revver because he can profit off of his work somehow). There's also a good chance that the video is fairly viral, to the extent other Youtubers would post it on Youtube as their own, on Myspace, or on Metacafe, or what have you.

So not just anyone can upload anything they want on Revver, right? It does go through some sort of screening process to determine that it's profitable?
If you're a battery, you're either working or you're dead....

Not necessarily. We happen to get crappy videos everyday. There was a day where a guy sent 20-25 videos each about 5-6 seconds long with absolutely no audio of himself doing random things (i.e. picking his nose, sticking things up his nose) and that gets admitted onto the video library anyway. Videos like this might seem like crap, but some people might find it interesting.
Even though we get hundreds of uploads each day, we can't sit back and hope for the next big fish to bite. So, my job would be to find content that not only has promising revenue potential for the creators and for Revver, but content that's likely to attract buzz and/or content that people are likely to find interesting.
For example, here's a budding webisode series that I found on Youtube and help bring it onto Revver, called The B Team (an A-Team spoof with B-List celebrities):
