Questions for AFL players?

I'm going to be in Arizona for the AFL this Thursday-Saturday. I already have a list of about 20 guys who I'm hoping to interview (I have media credentials). Let me know if you have any questions you want me to ask anyone.

Do you get paid to do this now?

I live in Phoenix so I go to a bunch of games each season. They're always a lot of fun. My parents went last week and met Phillip Humber while he was sitting in the stands. I thought that was pretty cool that you could actually talk one on one with them as opposed to just before games. Also because of the jersey retirements that they've made each season I have also been able to get autographs from players like Nomar and Garret Anderson.

Make sure you see Mark Reynolds of the Dbacks. I hear he's been tearing it up so far.

According to Gio Gonzalez (SP, PHI), the Mets had Mike Pelfrey start wearing a mouth piece because he was tipping his pitches with his tongue.

Did you find out what his tips were?

If I'm recalling correctly, it was something like his tongue wouldn't hang out as far when he was going to throw a changeup.

JoKo has been raking in the AFL so far. I hope he doesn't end up getting traded as you suggest, as he looks to be the real deal.
