Sorry about the problems w/r/t poker. I think I've found a solution.
You will have until 2:30 PM on Tuesday, November 21st to complete the first round. I am giving you so much time because it will take especially long to finish the first round/sign up/find all the participants.
The rules are simple. You will play one game of chess, one game of Scrabble, and one game of Heads up Texas Hold 'Em. Whichever person wins 2 of the 3 games moves on to the next round. The winner simply posts the results of the game in this very thread (please include which games you've won and which you've lost) and when the first round is completed we'll move on to the Sweet 16.
Next, it is up to the discretion of the players which sites they would like to use to play the three games. However, in the case of a disagreement (or stalemate, given the games) you will need to use the sites I have chosen. I have chosen sites that use Java screens to play and do not have long registration processes.
For Poker:
http://www.holdempoker.com (Play javapoker and create a private table.)
For Chess:
http://www.yahoo.com
For Scrabble:
http://www.scrabulous.com/
Now, I will also leave the discretion of the time limits/money limits up to the players. In the event they can not agree, however, here are the limits:
For Poker: 5/10 with 300 chips to begin
For Chess: 20 minutes per side.
For Scrabble: - The site doesn't allow time limits but if you find one that does, 20 minutes per side seems like more than enough. (Please note - the Yahoo version of Scrabble called "Literati" is much more a luck-based game. You are welcome to use it if both people agree to that, but I advise against it. There are other versions of Scrabble online and you're welcome to use those, as well.)
Here is the bracket:

I am sending out a link to this thread so that everyone can see who they are supposed to be playing. Will you please post in this thread two things: 1. That you have gotten in touch w/your partner and begun play 2. Who won the best-of-3. Otherwise I don't know that this is underway.
