PS3 or Wii?

This probably belongs on the Video Games forum, but I'm just asking this question in general.

With both PS3 and Wii being released later this month, which console would you purchase if you had to choose one? The PS3 is quite pricey to say the least and so that leans me to buy a Wii, especially with the 3-D motion sensor built into its controllers for a more engaging gaming experience. But of course, the PS3 has more titles I'm interested in and with the Blu-ray to boot.

So I'm curious: what would you choose?

I'm not hard core; I'd pick the Wii based on originality and price.

The PS3 will obviously be a superior gaming system though.

I'll get a Wii. I like the Zelda and Mario games and PS3 will be at least twice as expensive.

i'm usually behind the times when it comes to getting the newer consoles. i'll probably wait a while and pick up a ps3 when prices drop.
i don't think i'd like the new style of game play that the wii has anyways.

I'll end up getting both, because I absolutely MUST play the Twilight Princess game and the God of War game that will eventually be out.

That said, I likely won't buy either until prices have sufficently dropped. There's still going to be alot of good games coming out for the PS2 for another year or so, not the least of which is God of War 2.

I have a 360 but plan to buy a Wii eventually. Its very original and is much cheaper. With Sony only having about 400k systems for sale by 2007, it will be in a very tough position in the console market. There have been comparisons to the Sega Saturn, a very powerful machine, but with a terrible release/marketing strategy. I see the PS3 doing the same, though Metal Gear 4 could change that single handedly.
