The decision to go under the knife should have been made 3 months ago. He's out for 2007 but hopefully he comes back stronger than ever for 2008 because he's a fun pitcher to watch.

What a combo, Santana and Liriano. I wanted him so bad. still wondering if i should trade for him for the future.

If you have some patience it might be a good time to make a trade for him because you could probably do so without giving up very much in return. From what I understand about the surgery a lot of pitchers come back stronger than they were before TJ. I can imagine Liriano without his elbow bothering him, and it's scary.

That's a shame, he was an exciting young pitcher. We'll just have to see how he recovers. On the bright side, this makes everybody's keeper decisions easier... :-o

However, the warning signs were there and unfortunately for the Twins, Liriano and baseball fans, we won't get to see him in the spotlight for at least another season. I wish him the best.

Ditto, makes me feel good about how the M's handled Felix. Anything can happen with young arms and he could have something happen next season, but they took the right path with him.

I think he was just grouping him with other injury prone pitchers.
