I'm going to cut you into little pieces!

That's my favorite Floyd song. But it seems nearly impossible for a radio station to play any of their stuff pre-Dark Side of the Moon.

Tru dat...i was suprised to hear Thin Ice the other day

Thin Ice is post Dark Side

I think The Wall is their undisputed masterpiece, even though DSotM is as groundbreaking as it is, and their Syd Barrett albums are awesome. I can listen to the entire Wall album(s) the whole way through any day of the week. David Gilmour's guitar solo(s) in Comfortably Numb still gives me goosebumps.

Hello everyone, I was wondering if you could help me out here. I am wanting some new music to listen to, and didn't think a new topic was necessay. Here are some of the artists I like (as listed on my facebook...yes I'm a loser :-b )

A Tribe Called Quest, Arctic Monkeys, The Beatles, Beck, The Black Keys, Bob Dylan, Bob Marley, Common, Damian Marley, Death Cab for Cutie, The Flaming Lips, Franz Ferdinand, Gorillaz, Incubus, Jay-Z, Kanye West, Led Zeppelin, Lupe Fiasco, Modest Mouse, Mos Def, Nas, Nirvana, Outkast, Pearl Jam, Pink Floyd, Pixies, Queens of the Stone Age, The Raconteurs, Radiohead, Rage Against the Machine, Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Roots, Spoon, The Strokes, Sublime, Sufjan Stevens, The White Stripes, Wolfmother

I enjoy most types of music (not a big fan of country or metal though), and wouldn't mind getting into some folk or folk type rock. Gracias! ;-D

I was about to suggest Sufjan, but you've already got it listed. We seemed to have at least a passing interest in similar modern music.

You might like Arcade Fire, The Shins, Elliot Smith, Neutral Milk Hotel, The Decemberists, The Magic Numbers, We Are Scientists, Spoon, Stars, Architecture In Helsinki (if you want to get into some weirder stuff), The Smiths and The Stone Roses (since you like the Pixies), Super Furry Animals, maybe Wilco or Turin Breaks, or the Postal Service since your a Deathcab fan... although, I don't really like all those bands, they're similar at least to the ones you listed and you'd probably get a lot of them if you set yourself up on Pandora.

If you like them check out Amos Lee.
You have no frame of reference, Donny. You're like a child who walks into the middle of a movie...
