Maddux gets snubbed in Braves playoff rotation

they'll probably get maddux the 5 innings if they're ahead. that is a very big snub, however...

I can sort of see their logic somewhat in that they want to go righty, lefty, rightie in the rotation, instead of starting Maddux and Ortiz back to back. If they want to do that though, I'd drop Ortiz to the #3 starter's spot because he has been horrible lately (ERA over 4.00 in July, August and September), while Maddux has a 3.00 ERA since the break. I think I would drop Ortiz out of the playoff rotation altogether and put Ramirez in if I was Cox.

hard to drop a 20-gm winner out of the rotation...i see your logic, but i don't agree with it. the R,L,R idea is probably what he's going for, but in the long term it's RLRRLRRLRRLRRLR like it would have been anyway.
