I haven't heard word of this on tv or anything, but my roomate said something about the A's pulling Tejada off the field, uninjured, recieving a standing ovation? he then said that Peter gammons said something about thinking Tejada was out of Oakland????? My roomie HAS to be trying to pull one over on me, right??? Is there any truth to this?
And i AM aware of how stupid a scenario that would be, and i know i must be ridiculous for even wondering if its true, but i guess its a character flaw, i just need confirmation? Did something happen in Oak-town???

You mean other than Tejada being a free agent at the end of the year, and that this was Oakland's last game at home this season. (other than the playoffs, of course).
Don't tell me that information got by you..... Lol.

Well, i know that Tejada is a free agent when the year is over, but I did not know that it was Oakland's last home game tonight...but they pulled him in the third inning? Again, I'm just repeating what i was told, it sounded fishy...
so you're telling me that the world still rotates the right direction and that the A's didnt do anything that stupid? I was starting to wonder what was wrong with baseball...other than bud selig

Sounds about right to me. Tejada only came to the plate twice in the game: 0/2, no walks, no sacrifices, no hit by pitch. Yes, he came out early. As to which inning? The 3rd or 4th sounds about right to me.
Hope that helps. You might also catch Sportscenter, I'm sure they will mention something about it.

We should all take note of how this was handled. IF you got a free agent dangling, do NOT say at the begining of the year that there's no chance you'll resign the guy. It doesn't help.

yeah, i have to say that was a pretty bad idea by oakland's part. it's like he knows his destiny...and he doesn't like it.
oakland has a fantastic shortstop at ss to replace him even though ill miss miggy but this is for the best. they are simply doing the opposite of what the stros are doing and thats playing smart. i wish miggy could play at oakland but thats the way it goes
