Pitchers and catchers report mid february.

Congrats Cardinals. I don't think anyone guessed it would have ended as it did.

Just a little anticlimactic at the end, unless you're a cardinals fan.

Gonna be an interesting off-season. Arod for Peavy?

Thanks for talkin' fantasy baseball. Next year I'm takin sluggers for 6 of my first 7 picks.

Thanks for the sig, Chargersfan36.

Great ending for Cards fans! ;-D

But from the outside it probably was a pretty boring series. And yes, next year, unless I get Johan, Im not even going to dare take a starter early.

It was a bit of an ugly series. I think both teams in the series were good and deserved to be there, but I don't think either team really played their best, especially the Tigers. That was a bit of a choke job at the end. Where's the defense? And the weather pretty much sucked regardless of where they played.

Congrats to the Cardinals. They hung in there and prevailed. Tigers looked like a team that did not want to win.

I loved that the Cards won, but yea it wasn't a very pretty series. I guess it was the inexperience of the Tigers?? The Cardinals didn't seem to get fazed and the Tigers seemed too on edge. Oh well, I loved it this year because it was my home team winning, but in honesty the series hasn't been exciting to a non-partisan fan since 2003.
...Boston papers now and then suffer a sharp flurry of arithmetic on this score; indeed, for Williams to have distributed all his hits so they did nobody else any good would constitute a feat of placement unparalleled in the annals of selfishness. -Updike

There was some big controversy...and I was very happy to see Eckstein win the MVP...but didn't get into the series too much.

Yeah (+2 PFC), it was boring in the opposite way.

;-D

Personally, I thought the Cards/Mets series was the highlight of the post season.

I say, most boring WS since the Mets and Yankees snoozed the nation.
