well i didnt follow bonds contract situation that closely so it's news to me.

I highly doubt that teams (Other than the Giants) will throw out 2-3 year deals, worth around 20-30 million.

I heard on the radio that the Giants were going to lowball him a deal he wouldn't want, so he would shop himself around the league and find no takers. Which means that teams are colluding to prevent him from breaking Aaron's record. Heard it on WEEI, saying it was in the SF Chronicle. Interesting conspiracy theory if nothing else.
