I'm wondering if there is any information about Jon Lester and his treatment for Lymphoma. Is there hope he'll be back next season? I would also like to know if Otsuka is projected as the closer for Texas next year.

Lester's status is unknown.
It really depends on how the treatment works for him.
He has a chance to be back for spring training, but he'll most likely back in middle to late part of the 07 season, and after that, it'll probably take him few starts to get back to where he was at.

I believe Otsuka will be the closer next year, unless they bring in somebody else, which seems unlikely with the limited closers available this offseason.
Frank Francisco and Wes Littleton should be the two set up guys.
