I did some checking and MLB schedules the musical acts. I was suspicious cause they came out in World Series jackets last night and not Cardinals jackets. My question is why 6 country acts? It makes no sense.

well i cant see them getting nelly to sing those songs.
Nelly would be awesome but there are more options.
Chuck Berry? Sheryl Crow? Tina Turner? They all have ties to STL. Even if they wanted country why not get someone who has ties to the area like Gretchen Wilson?

How about somebody that has had a hit in the past 15 years?

or they could at least continue the American Idol theme from the singers in Detroit and have Niko (Nico?) Smith, Ozzie's kid, sing something.

He sang in the first round of the playoffs. At least I got to see Steven Tyler in the playoff game I was at.
While I am not a Cardinal fan, I live in St.Louis and having 6 country acts is a complete joke. It misrepresents St.Louis' music diversity. If anything, they needed to have at least one Blues singer do a song or the anthem. I mean St. Louis is a major blues city.

I thought so; St. Louis seems like a pretty hip town and not the red neck, line dancin' country folk that 6 country music acts in a row would imply.
However, I should not that whenever someone tells me something that I think is a bunch of bull, I tell them "Lets just say I'm from Missouri."
I have yet to meet someone (not from Missouri) who gets it.
