While I'm not real thrilled about any of these guys to fill the last spots I could see Elarton and Redman back in there with Gobble once again relegated to the bullpen.

I'm tired of Runelvys and Gobble. Don't really look forward to seeing Elarton or Redman again either. DeLaRosa is fine as a 5th or spot starter, i'd like to see more of what he can do. I'm kinda just hoping we get a couple new arms via trade or FA. Other than that I'm fine with Grienke, Perez and Hudson for right now.... wish they were our 3,4,5 but what can ya do.....
is Greinke that much of a lock for a rotation spot that you put him #1? I really didn't like Gobble a couple years ago when (I think) his k/9 is somewhere in the 2s. But he's been fine as a reliever last year and he should probably stay there.
though I like us to sign a FA, I don't think we should in this crazy market.
Rotation for 07
Odalis Perez
Luke Hudson
Zack Greinke
Runelvys Hernandez(though I hope not)
Jorge De La Rosa
in one word: ewwwww. And I actually have 2 of them(Greinke and Odalis) on my fantasy team.

With the Meche signing there is one more spot taken. The battle for the 5th spot should be interesting in Spring Training. What would be great would to see the Royals leave the Batista deal out there to fill the 5th spot and let DeLaRosa and Gobble battle it out for a spot start/ long relief role where both fit much better at. With Elarton looking to be back pre-AS break I don't see the Royals shelling out more cash for another starter though.
don't you think with the way the Royals pitching staff has been the past em, 4-5 years. It's hard to predict 1 years ahead much less 2?
Ok, poop on the parade why don't ya. I can't tell you what the staff will look like this year let alone in a couple years but thats not the point now is it!

Hey, I'm just as happy as the next Royals fan about this offseason.

Personally, I don't know if Greinke is a lock to start the season in the bigs. He needs to get his head right before he's any good to a team.
I think next year's staff will be as follows:
Meche
Hudson
Perez
Elarton
de la Rosa
Not to say that it won't change during the season, but I think that will be the rotation coming out of spring training.
This assumes the Royals don't do something crazy like signing Suppan or Pineiro.
