Although I counted myself out of my rookie fantasy season (9 points behind 1st as late as last Wednesday and 7.5 points at the start of Sunday), some timely pitching and hitting has lifted my team to within 1.5 points of first. For a brief time last night, I was actually tied - even with Webb's implosion! ;-D

I am 1 run behind the guy in 1st, and 2 HRs & 1 SB ahead of the same guy. I always need BA help. (Generic 12-team NL-AL roto.)

Does anyone see any good team or individual offensive matchups for the last 4 days, especially with common free agents?

Marlon Byrd, for example, has hit well the last month and has played well against Atlanta this year.

Obviously leadoff hitters or players on teams that score a lot of runs would be beneficial. Who are the top 5 or 10 free agents?

Well, yes, that's my question - who?. Maybe I phrased my question poorly. :*)

As Bonds, who I have, is resting who knows how many games, I need someone (1) who is HOT (2) who matches up well against the season-ending opponent.

I'm in a light-transaction league, so many of the usual FA suspects are out there for the last 4 games.

Well, Byrd, Redman, & Reed Johnson have been hot the last month. Nick Johnson.... Randa is smokin', but hits from the 5 slot. Heck, maybe Belliard - although the Rockies play in San Diego after tomorrow.

If this is a Yahoo league, you can just go to available players and then sort by runs. You can even narrow it down to over the past month or week or whatever. It's a lot easier if you give a list rather than have us guess what players are available.

Sorry, it is tough to guess as to who is availiable in your league. You could provide a link and we could check for ourselves if you prefer, and then give a recommendation. I hope things work out well for you. ;-D
