Mark my words, Miguel Cabrera is going to have a huge year next year. To the tune of a possible .350/40/135. His .339/26/114 were not bad last year, considering he was projected to bat lower than 300 with some saying he wouldnt even get to 100 rbis. His producion was steady but didn't really carry a fantasy team.
Next year, Cabrera will carry fantasy teams. He will go in probably the early 2nd round (early 1st maybe?), and whoever lands him will be lucky. With the FLA lineup starting to take shape with Ramirez, Uggla, Hermida, Jacobs, and Willingham, these guys can only get better. Cabrera is hitting for AVG now and the power is about to go up. I wouldnt rule out 40 HRs; I actually think it is likely he hits 40. And I think the RBIS are going to be spectacular next year.
What do you guys think?

I agree Cabrera could reach super-star proportions next year.
He is also arbitration elgible this offseason, which means he will probably end up somewhere else either this offseason, or perhaps be involved in some trade deadline blockbuster in 2007.
A trade would only increase his value, as he probably would end up in a better hitter's park. It does not get much worse then Dolphins Stadium
Seriously if I had to pick someone right now that I expect to rocket up the rankings I would go with Baldelli. But there is a lot of time until the beginning of the 2007 season.
Miggy's been the "breakout player" for the past few years.
He hasn't done it quite yet, though he's still putting up excellent numbers.
He'll get there eventually.
He's certainly not a guy who is "flying under the radar", so to speak. Everyone knows him, and he's often picked in the first round to begin with, so it's hard to kind of target him as a sleeper breakout player.
When you are a man, sometimes you wear stretchy pants in your room...is for fun.
You're a little late to pick MCab as a "break out" player for 2007.
He "broke out" like 3 years ago, LOL. He's not even going to be underrated going into 2007. Indeed, I expect him to be over-rated because most fantasy owners have been expecting him to post Manny-like power numbers for at least 2 years. You'll likely have to pay 1st round money (or close to it) to draft him in 2007.
I am the Master. Don't question the Master. Just do what he says and be proud.
