You're not going to find a free version of MS Powerpoint without torrenting it... then again, you would probably have to get the whole office suite.
Try OpenOffice.org
If you're a battery, you're either working or you're dead....
Like Cu said, try one of the open source version, the OpenOffice version is Impress and is probably the better of the bunch. If you are simply wanting to open Powerpoint Presentations then there should be a free viewer for download.

Yeah, Miner... if you don't have MS Office, there isn't much point in having a computer for work-related things... but OpenOffice is an awesome alternative... not only is it's free, but also highly recommended.
Microsoft has free PPT viewers available though...

I was at work doing my work and some lady called saying stuff like this:
Moron Lady: Oh my god I moved some files to where some files were and then the files I think moved and I didn't save them but they were there I think and I thought i copied them and now when I open them they say they are corrupted.
ME: What ??
Moron Lady: you know I dragged some files over where the other files were but I ment to only copy them but I dragged them and then they were there but then now they say corrupted.
Me: Um ok...
So anyways the point of her nonsensical ramblings were that she had a file she needed to open and it was corrupt and MS Excel wouldn't open it.
So I went and tried Open Office and it opened perfectly. Proving that Microsoft Office sucks so much that it can't even open its own product but an Open Source Free Product created by nerds can open it perfectly fine.
It is PowerPoint. Not "Powerpoint" or "Power Point"
Don't you realize that every letter in the word is just as important as the last?
