We have another guy who keeps forgetting to log in as well. I'll spare him by not mentioning who it is.
And no, it's not me.

Here's an update. The Giants might have to play on Monday to determine home field advantage for the playoffs. Not sure if Schmidt would start it or not, but here's the article:
Alou would leave behind some regulars for makeup game
By MICHAEL A. LUTZ, AP Sports Writer September 23, 2003 HOUSTON (AP) -- Manager Felipe Alou would leave some of his regular starters back in San Francisco if the Giants must return to New York on Monday to make up the game postponed by last month's blackout
The game originally was scheduled for Aug. 14. Baseball officials said Tuesday that if the Giants are a half-game behind Atlanta after Sunday's games, the tentative plan is to make up the game against the Mets.
If San Francisco beats New York and finishes with the same record as Atlanta, the Giants would have homefield advantage against the Braves in the league championship series because it won the season series against Atlanta 4-2.

In the event of a makeup, San Francisco would have to play at home Sunday against Los Angeles, play in New York on Monday, then return home to open the playoffs Tuesday.
``We would have to leave some regulars at home,'' Giants manager Felipe Alou said before Tuesday's game against Houston. ``It's impossible to tend to both games on different coasts. We are only human. We aren't a team of 25-year-olds.''
San Francisco began Tuesday with a 96-59 record, while the Braves were 97-60.
Alou said he wouldn't test the resilience of some of his older players, such as Andres Galarraga.
``We have some guys, a man who is 42 years old, Galarraga, that we feel to have to go to New York and then go home and play the next day is too much, so I say some regulars will stay home,'' Alou said. ``I've been managing all year to keep my players fresh.''
Sandy Alderson, executive vice president of baseball operations in the commissioner's office, said a final decision will be made by Friday on whether the game would be made up if it is needed to determine homefield advantage.
``The commissioner will make that determination shortly,'' he said.

I'd say Brown is definitely done. I really don't see a reason for Mussina to start after tonight either.

Any idea who that is?
As for pitchers making their last starts, I generally use this thought process. First, look at their situation. If they already have their spots locked up, there is no need to march out a stud for a meaningless game. Next, do the math. If someone pitches on Wednesday, they would need to go again on 3 days rest before their next start. That ain't gonna happen unless it is a really important game. And, even then, they still might not do it. I would recommend dropping any starter who pitches today and later for replacements at other positions.

Don't have a clue who it is............. Lol.
As to the strategy, I agree. I've already cut Trachsel and picked up Willis in one league. Trachsel has done well his last few starts, I'll get this one, and I get Willis against the Mets on Sunday.
