a local sports talk show had an interview with one of your play by play men and a san diego beat reporter who both said this was a real possibility.

and with the news coming out today that san diego is allowing bochey to talk with the cubs, makes this scenerio sound more and more realistic.

probably no need to worry on this one though, the cubs will mess it up somehow.

If he does go to Chicago, you just know that Tony La Russa will have a big grin on his face.

What I can't understand is why none of the critisim on the team forums is directed at KT. Everybody is mad at Bochy, but the constant flow or horrible talent is all KT's fault. Bochy does miracles with the horrible talent he gets handed every year.

The Pads got exactly what Bellhorn has been for the past couple years: A few key HRs and lots of Ks. Just like his time in Boston 2004 when everyone was calling for him to be benched in the playoffs, then he homered in games 6 & 7 of the ALCS and Game 1 of the Series, two of which came at critical times in ALCS game 6 and WS game 1.

SD may have hoped he'd turn it around, but it was not to be. Tough to think that the only good thing to come of his time in SD is the crap in his hat line. Very funny.
